TAG ED Link - Linking the Technology Community to STEM Education

Business Volunteers

How much time will this require? That is up to you. We are looking for individuals that have a passion for education and can get others involved. The connection can be as small as organizing a speaker for a classroom on a topic of interest or as large as coordinating a Field Trip to your facility for students to see “The Real World.”

Will I get to work with students? This role is mainly about connecting your organization to those opportunities. You can be a part of the activity or not depending on your work schedule and personal preference.

Where do we make connections? All you need to do is find the opportunity that fits your organization and assist in coordinating with the educators.

STEM Coordinators Needed

Education Community

How do we connect our STEM initiative with businesses? You notify TAG-Ed of the specifics of your need – timeframe, work to be done, people and skills required, etc.

What type of projects are we looking for? Projects should focus on engaging expertise that technology companies have to help make STEM relevant to your students. Examples might include a STEM speaker on a topic your class is studying; coordinating site visits to coincide with a class project, Career Days at your school, and/or judging a Science or Math Fair.

What types of resources can this program provide? Generally, TAG Education Link is not about raising money. It is about helping to better prepare our students in STEM fields by creating opportunities for them to learn from people working in the field.
