Program Overview:

The TAG-Ed Internship Program offers rising high school seniors an opportunity to learn in a real-world environment and get hands-on experience in a field of study relating to the student’s chosen area of interest. Students will be placed and mentored with a host company/ participating internship partner for a minimum of five consecutive weeks.

IMPORTANT DATES

•  Jan 18 -- 2012 Summer Internship Announcement/Registration Opens
• April 16--Internship placement process begins
• June 4 – August 3, 2012 Internship timeframe, 5 week minimum internship period

Program Purpose

• Provide intern partners with highly talented, motivated, and trustworthy interns.
• Develop STEM workplace experience.
• Deliver a diverse pool of talent to STEM careers.

Program Requirements

• Provide intern with a minimum five-week assignment.
• Companies contribute $1,000 to student as stipend for the internship.
• Offer student mentoring and feedback to the school’s internship coordinator.
• Internship program will run for a five week period during June 6, - August 5, 2011.
