The TAG Education Collaborative (TAG ED) has several programs to advance the goal of enabling Georgia’s K-12 education system to become a leader and innovator for STEM related education.
TAG ED programs include the Web Challenge where students from all over Georgia compete in teams that must employ original content in the areas of math, science and an open topic, using technology referenced above, as well as other commonly available technologies (i.e. PowerPoint, social media, cell phones and other mobile devices). Last year’s winning students earned $21,000 in college scholarships—and their schools received extensive recognition statewide.
The TAG-ED Internship Program offers rising high school seniors an opportunity to learn in a real-world environment and get hands-on experience in a field of study relating to the student’s chosen area of interest. Students will be placed and mentored with a host company/ participating internship partner for a minimum of five consecutive weeks.
