The nonprofit Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Education Collaborative names Chris Reinking, co-founding partner of Jabian Consulting, to its Board of Directors as part of a strategic effort to bring technology leaders together with tech-related educational initiatives.

Atlanta, Georgia – April 21, 2009  – By selecting Chris Reinking to serve on its Board of Directors, the TAG Education Collaborative takes an important step in its strategy to match Georgia’s technology-related education initiatives with industry leaders who can support them.

“What the TAG Education Collaborative is doing for education in Atlanta and the state of Georgia is something Jabian believes in wholeheartedly,” says Reinking, partner and co-founder of Jabian Consulting. “I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

Created by the Technology Association of Georgia in 1999, the nonprofit TAG Education Collaborative (TAG EC) acts as a catalyst for helping Georgia’s K-12 education system evolve into leaders and innovators in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

TAG created the TAG EC after recognizing the key role education plays in the promotion and economic advancement of the state's technology industry. Among its areas of concern are Georgia’s dropout rate and the decreasing population of talented science and technology faculty.

“This is how we can equip future innovators to compete in the global 21st century,” says Reinking, who believes Jabian’s focus on strategic innovation makes the nonprofit’s mission a natural fit for their community service efforts. Jabian’s involvement with the TAG EC began when the firm opened its doors in 2009.
