TAG-Ed Staff

 

Michael Robertson

Michael Robertson joined the TAG Education Collaborative, Inc. in November, 2010 and serves as Executive Director.  In this role he works with TAG Member companies to support and promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs to today’s students, the workforce of tomorrow.
 
Prior to joining TAG as a full-time staff member, Michael helped build bridges between businesses and education in a variety of volunteer roles.  While serving as chairman of the Advisory Board of the GIFT (Georgia Industrial Fellowship for Teachers) Program at Georgia Institute of Technology, which offers summer fellowships to Georgia teachers, he was instrumental in expanding placements to over 100 teachers throughout Georgia. He has also served as a member of the Peachtree Executive Advisory Board for FIRST, which aspires to make science, math, engineering, and technology as cool for kids as sports are today. Michael has also been very active in a variety of volunteer roles with TAG including being a founding member & President of the TAG Human Resources Society, as well as, serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  
 
Professionally, Robertson spent the past 16 years at EMS Technologies, Inc. where he provided strategic oversight and direction as that company grew from 400 to 2,000 employees.  His scope of contributions included human resources, employee training and high potential development; corporate communications and public relations; Michael was instrumental in shaping the company’s culture and under his direction EMS was recognized as a “Great Place To Work” and “Employer of Choice.”

 

Sherri L. Von Behren

Sherri von Behren joined TAG-ED in March of 2010 as Director of Program and Events. She has 20+ years of experience in business operations, sales and marketing, management; and community service in public education and youth programs. She enjoys building teaming relationships that deliver value to the community, individuals and business. Her mission is to leverage these skills for the achievement of a healthier and well educated society.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Katie Dion

As the Director of Communications and Engagement for the TAG Education Collaborative, Katie is responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies in line with TAG-Ed's STEM Education initiatives, increasing awareness of future employment needs in the technology industry, and building partnerships and programs that foster interest in STEM topics for students beginning in middle school.
 
Prior to joining TAG Ed's staff, Katie spent the last 10 years involved in STEM education. She served as the Public Relations and Communications Director at FSA Schools in North Fulton, and is also a former middle school administrator and teacher.  Katie graduated from the University of Georgia in 2002.

 

 

 

 

Debbi Litt

Debbi joined TAG-Ed's staff in February 2012 as an intern, and was promoted to Associate Director, Marketing and Communication in September 2012. In this role, Debbi is responsible for the creation of TAG-Ed's marketing materials, managing the organization's social media presence, and providing administrative assistance for all TAG-Ed programs and events.

Prior to joining TAG-Ed's staff, Debbi worked as an editorial intern at Atlanta Magazine. In December 2011, she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. Debbi was production manager of The Sentinel, KSU's weekly newspaper, and has studied abroad in England and Japan.
