TAG’s network of technology organizations and the TAG Education Collaborative’s focus on STEM education initiatives can provide the resources and bandwidth to ensure programs thrive, even in a challenging non-profit environment. The TAG Education Collaborative is the only organization of its kind that can offer access to thousands of potential volunteers, many of whom have relevant domain expertise. CompTIA, Technology Association of Georgia Team Up to Support STEM Education in Georgia Schools Donation to Atlanta-Based TAG Education Collaborative Part of National CompTIA Initiative

Downer’s Grove, IL –– March 22, 2012 –– Today, CompTIA, through its TechVoice partnership with the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and other state-based technology associations around the country, made a $5,000 grant to support education in STEM fields in the state of Georgia. The grant is one in a series of grants CompTIA is making on behalf of its TechVoice partners to support community-based efforts to promote IT and IT workforce development, education and training.

 ATLANTA (January 17, 2012) –TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed), the charitable organization established by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) that is dedicated to preparing the next-generation workforce through better education and real-life job experiences, today announced that Chris Reinking, partner and co-founder of Jabian Consulting, has been elected as chairman of the 2012 TAG-Ed board of directors. Kent Antley, an attorney with Miller & Martin, will continue another year in his role as secretary/treasurer for the board.
